Karaoke with Laptop/Computer Sound In my previous post , I discussed getting an affordable portable PA to use for karaoke. The nice thing about that is the simplicity. However, I promised we would discuss leveraging your laptop or computer sound for a great karaoke experience. I won't lie to you, this ramps up the complexity. There are some advantages but it can be time consuming to get working right (and keep working right). You will need a microphone and adapters to plug them into the computer - so there is some hardware acquisition. In this post we will go through using a basic computer system and then we will talk about adding a sound card and the benefits that brings. Obviously, the number of devices that interface with computers is large so don't expect this to be comprehensive.
